It’s that time of year again where we are talking about payroll year end AND changes for the new Tax Year!!
We have covered off the key topics we are being asked about in one go hopefully for your ease.
1. Payroll Year End
To keep you in the loop we thought we would share with you the wording that will be used within the clients ‘Year End Pack’ email Click here.
We will not be CC’ing partners into the year end emails. Once saved down by the team, the year end reports will appear in your visibility dashboard in the normal way for you to access as required.
We will be working through them as quickly as possible. We have a target date of the end of April-22 to be completed with year end activities 🙂.
2. 2022/23 Directors Pay Options
We have done a bit of research to see what others are doing and what the general ‘rule of thumb’ is going to be…our heads start to hurt when factoring in the corporation tax savings etc. but hopefully the below link will act as a guide.
Click here to see what the options are.
What do we need from you in relation to Directors Pay Options?
If you could let us know what you would like to be applied for your own clients by 31st March-22 that would be fantastic.
3. National Minimum wage changes
Click here to see the wording that will be within the April-22 payroll pack we will send to clients which covers off the minimum wage increases from April-22.
We have even included a nice little info-graphic for clients this year.
4. National Insurance Changes (Health and Social Care Levy)
New information for payslips
HMRC is asking employers, where appropriate, to include the following message on payslips:
‘1.25% uplift in NICs, funds NHS, health & social care’.
We understand that there has been a lot of discussion around this topic in the Accountancy and Payroll world. You are probably aware of the ‘politics’ around it. If you want to find out a bit more check out this article: Click here
Our default stance is to display the following message on payslips:
‘1.25% uplift in NICs, funds NHS, health & social care’.
Click here to see the wording that will be within the April-22 payroll pack we will send to clients, which covers off the National Insurance increases.
What do we need from you in relation to the Health and Social Care Levy?
If you DO NOT wish to have the Levy wording displayed on your clients payslips, please let us know by no later than the 31st March-22.
5. Employment Allowance (EA)
The Employment Allowance for 2022/23 is £4,000.00.
What do we need from you in relation to EA?
Circumstances change year on year, so we are asking all partners to take a look at the knowledge section on your visibility dashboard to review your client Employment Allowance status and let us know of any that need amending by the 31st March-22. If we do not hear from you regarding any changes, we will continue to claim/not claim as per the 21/22 tax year for your clients.
